After more than a decade of growth and evolution, we're excited to unveil our new digital home at penit.us, reflecting our commitment to innovative, human-centered digital solutions.

A New Digital Home for a Decade-Long Journey

Today marks an exciting milestone in our company’s journey. After months of strategic planning, thoughtful design, and meticulous development, we’re thrilled to officially introduce our new web presence at penit.us.

More than just a domain change, this launch represents the culmination of our evolution as a company and our vision for the future. As we settle into our new digital home, we wanted to share the story behind this transformation and what it means for our clients and partners.

Our Journey: From 2014 to Today

When Jennifer Miller founded Penitus in 2014, she had a vision for a different kind of digital consultancy—one that would bridge the gap between strategic thinking and technical execution. Beginning with a small team of five dedicated developers in Austin, we focused primarily on WordPress implementations for local businesses.

“I remember our first office,” Jennifer recalls. “It was basically a converted storage room with just enough space for our desks and a coffee maker. But we were passionate about creating digital experiences that actually solved business problems, not just looked pretty.”

Those early years laid the foundation for what would become our core philosophy: that technology should serve human needs, not the other way around. As we grew, expanding our services and eventually opening our Berlin office in 2017, we remained committed to that human-centered approach.

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of working with over 150 clients across industries, from startup founders with bold visions to established enterprises navigating digital transformation. Each project has added to our collective expertise and shaped our understanding of what makes digital experiences truly effective.

Why penit.us?

The decision to transition to penit.us wasn’t made lightly. As our team grew and our service offerings expanded beyond our initial focus, we recognized the need for a digital identity that better reflected who we’ve become.

“Our previous web presence served us well, but it was designed for a different chapter in our story,” explains Michael Thornton, our Engineering Manager. “We’ve evolved significantly in our capabilities and approach. It was time for our digital presence to catch up with who we are today.”

The shorter, more distinctive domain name also aligns with our design philosophy: clear, purposeful, and free of unnecessary complexity. The “.us” extension reflects both our American roots and our collaborative approach to client partnerships.

The Making of Our New Digital Home

True to our values, we approached this project the same way we approach client work—with a focus on strategic objectives, user experience, and technical excellence.

The process began with internal workshops to clarify our goals, understand our audiences, and define what success would look like. We conducted research with clients and partners to gain outside perspective on how we’re perceived and what information different stakeholders need from our website.

Our design team then crafted a visual identity that balances professionalism with approachability, using a clean, modern aesthetic that puts content and clarity first. The development team built the site using the same technologies we recommend to clients facing similar challenges—practice what you preach has always been one of our guiding principles.

“We treated ourselves as the client,” says Sarah Chen, our Design Director. “That meant sometimes having uncomfortable conversations about what wasn’t working and being willing to iterate based on testing and feedback. We went through three completely different navigation concepts before finding the right approach.”

What’s New and Improved

Visitors to our new site will notice several key improvements:

  • Service-Oriented Architecture: We’ve organized our content around the specific services we provide, making it easier for potential clients to understand our offerings and how they might apply to their needs.

  • Case Studies and Success Stories: More detailed examinations of our work, focusing not just on what we built but the business problems we solved and the results achieved.

  • Resource Center: A growing library of guides, articles, and tools designed to help businesses at any stage of their digital journey make informed decisions.

  • Improved Performance: The site loads significantly faster than our previous one, reflecting our commitment to performance optimization as a core aspect of user experience.

  • Accessibility Focus: We’ve ensured the site adheres to WCAG standards, making our content available to the widest possible audience.

Looking Forward

This launch represents not just where we are, but where we’re headed. In 2025 and beyond, we’re focusing on expanding our expertise in emerging technologies while deepening our specialization in areas where we’ve proven our value—particularly in TypeScript development, comprehensive digital transformations, and creating seamless cross-platform experiences.

“The digital landscape is always evolving, and so are we,” Jennifer notes. “But some things don’t change—our commitment to understanding the human needs behind every project, our belief in technology as an enabler rather than an end in itself, and our dedication to delivering solutions that actually solve problems.”

As we celebrate this new chapter, we’re profoundly grateful to the clients, partners, and team members who have been part of our journey so far. Your trust, collaboration, and feedback have shaped who we are and what we do.

We invite you to explore our new digital home at penit.us and share your thoughts. And if you’re facing digital challenges of your own, we’d love to discuss how our team in Austin and Berlin can help transform your vision into reality.

Here’s to the next decade of digital excellence—together.
